Malaysian Oak - The Eco-Friendly Timber

 Hamilton Furniture - Eco-friendly Timber

Unlike other woods which are logged for the sole purpose of producing furniture, Malaysian Oak [also known as rubber wood] is only harvested when the trees can no longer produce latex efficiently. Thus rubber trees are seen as a sustainable resource as trees are not felled specifically for timber use but is in fact an end process in the latex production industry.

In Malaysia, millions of hectares of land are planted with rubber trees and certified plantations seed new trees upon logging the old trees. It is a process cycle which maintains the ecological balance of mother earth.

Its sustainability as a natural resource is the reason why we chose this as our core production material. Furthermore, it has very little tendency to crack or warp - hence it is one of the best materials to make durable curved wood products in the furniture industry.
